Nive and the Deer Children

Before the new third album by Nive and the Deer Children is released (expected early 2026), the band will perform at the Suialaa Arts Festival on Sunday, October 26, at Katuaq, presenting both new and well-known songs.

The band released their first album in 2009 and received the Crown Prince Couple’s Stardust Award in 2012, as well as an IMA (International Music Award) the same year. Since their previous release in 2016, the intervening years have been spent touring around the world (including the Arctic regions).

Nive & the Deer Children was the first Greenlandic band to perform at festivals such as SXSW, Pop Montreal, and the Alianait Arts Festival in Iqaluit, Nunavut. In parallel, Nive Nielsen has also pursued an international career as an actress.
