Project Employee for Suialaa Arts Festival
The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking two skilled and dedicated Project Employees for the Suialaa Arts Festival, with employment starting on May 1, 2025. The positions will run until October 31 and November 30, 2025, respectively.
Suialaa Arts Festival (formerly known as Nuuk Nordic Culture Festival) is based in Nuuk and is committed to providing great experiences and supporting a vibrant cultural scene. With a strong dedication to promoting and advancing Greenlandic art and artists, the festival aims to create a platform where artists and audiences from the Arctic and Nordic regions can meet, exchange ideas, and inspire each other. We engage with artists, volunteers, and audiences, offering inclusive communities and committing to promoting sustainable practices within arts and culture.
As a Project Employee, you will be part of the project team and will be responsible for recruiting and organizing volunteers for the festival. You will also prepare and coordinate logistics, including managing the arrival of artists, accommodations, essential information, and scheduling program events. Additionally, you will contribute to the festival’s communication efforts.
You will work daily in close collaboration with the festival director and report to the head of the Leisure and Culture department in the Municipality of Sermersooq.
You will join a team that includes the festival manager, department head, other project staff, communication/branding personnel, and a technical coordinator. The festival collaborates with many cultural institutions and businesses in Greenland, so strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset are essential.
