The Arctic Is Not For Sale

The Arctic is under pressure. The power centres of the world are playing geopolitical games of territories and resources while paying minimal attention to the people on the ground. Might is right, seems to be the current credo of world politics. In this situation, art must take to the barricades.

NUIS - Nunatta Isiginnaartitsisarfia (the Greenlandic national theater) meets Nordting / The Northern Assembly (known for the slogan Make the North Great Again!) for a joint manifestation of solidarity and sovereignty. There will be drum songs, joik, music for oil barrels and stockfish, poetry, appeals, flags and singing.

Two sides of the Arctic meet in an international, unique collaboration, joined by guests and friends, using art as a tool to build resistance. This is not a performance, it is a joint protest; both poetic and political, silent and loud. Join us for the campaign: The Arctic is Not for Sale!
